SILRES BS 1705

SILRES BS 1705 is a water-thinnable, solventless emulsion composed of a silane and siloxane blend, designed as a high-quality water repellent for impregnating cement-based products, particularly fiber cement. It offers properties such as deep penetration, high stability in alkaline conditions, and significant reduction in water absorption while maintaining high water vapor permeability due to the non-clogging of pores or capillaries. Upon application, it reacts with atmospheric moisture or pore water, forming a hydrophobic layer and releasing alcohol. This conversion results in a silicone resin that imparts long-lasting water repellency.
